Late evening fishing from a dock. Power bait with Mike's Garlic Oil.

Just looking to throw in for 30 minutes, HOPEFULLY catch a trout, as I just arrived from the West Side.

Now the fun part: My first cast revealed the tightening screw holding on my reel handle was gone. I'm back to fishing after a 30+ year hiatus, and didn't realize the handle wouldn't have a "safety".

Long story short, I was going for one last cast after about 20 minutes. Made the cast and heard my handle hit the water...gone. So, I started spinning the reel by hand...and...caught one! I was blown away. I was able to "reel" it in and actually land it!

And the best part? It was actually the VERY first Kokanee I've ever caught (about 13 inches or so)...not a trout. So basically, I just caught a Kokanee from a dock, on Power Bait and Garlic Oil, on a about a 1/2 oz weight and a 2 1/2 ft leader!
