Made reservations for Sockeye fishing at Horseshoe Cove Campground, Baker Lake for 3 days.

1st day:
1 limit just shy of one, for 2 limits Pm bite starting at 7pm.

2nd day:
2 Sockeye limits starting at 4:30 am morning bite.

3rd day:
2 sockeye in a full rain thunderstorm.....crazy but fun! Again, starting at 4:30 am morning bite.

It was sunny hot, to Rainy to Windy....you name it, it happen.

But regardless, we were determined to get sockeye. It paid off, am or pm bite was good.

We used Gods tooth Dodger and pink Gods tooth spoon which work well, I also used some custom hoochies and fly's I made too.

We used cured Safeway shrimp in Shrimp pink brine with krill powdered.....either sprinkled on or wet brine...both worked killer.

30' deep stacked with 50' setbacks.

We used 2/0 red hooks to Flor 30lb for or leaders
Mainline 250' of 30' braid to 60' Flor 20lb....sockeye got good sight, helps hide it.

Locations: It was good by Dam area or Northside....try to stay away from the fleets it helps.

My kids did an excellent job catching there first Sockeyes. My Wife is super happy with Sockeye for BBQ or Smoker.....great adventure for us. :)
