We launched from Kettle Falls and went south to Bradbury Beach. The wind was calm when we started fishing and about 15 minutes into the trip the wind picked up and we had to move. We headed north to the Colville Flatts and the wind was much more tolerable. We caught two fish right away in 104' of water using pickled Herring.
The bite stopped at Colville Flatts, so we decided to go give it a try at the Kettle Falls Bridge for the last couple hours of the trip. As soon as we put our lines in the water, we ended up putting a nice slot fish in the boat and missed 3 other fish. The slot fish that we have been catching have a lot of girth in them from 100-120 lbs. The Sturgeon fishing has been hit and miss up in Kettle Falls this year and my word of advice is to be patient and check around different areas, checking out all different depths of water. Good Luck & Good Fishing Everyone!!!
