Great day of Kokanee fishing on Lake Roosevelt on Saturday it is great to see these silver footballs being caught again. We launched from Seven Bays Marina early morning and fished between Haystack and Sterling point with no success. Slot Fish Rick and I headed south to the Goat Farm and we caught our first fish that was a nice sized Rainbow Trout. We concentrated fishing around the Goat Farm and ended up finding Kokanee. All of the Kokanee we caught were wild with no hatchery fish. All the Kokanee were caught on a pink Rocky Mountain tackle dodger with a pink Yakima Hoochie with a glow spinner in front of the hoochie. We found most of our fish on the humps near the rock walls at 60'-80' with the downriggers in 160'- 200' of water trolling at 1.5-1.9 . For bait we used white and dyed pink shoe peg corn scented with Pro-Cure bloody tuna and Garlic. Good Luck & Good Fishing Everyone!!!
