My son and I started fishing around 7 and finished just after 10am. It was a 90 degree day the day before and on the 26th they put weed killer in the lake to get rid of weeds. No harm to anyone the sign said.
This day was the cool down with lots of high clouds. I could see Mount Rainier most of the time.
Water temperature was 73 degrees and there was occasionally a breeze. We were the only boat on the lake. Later 3 kayaks joined the fishing.
We fished in 40 to 80 feet of water 1-1.6 mph trolling speed. My son got the first bite which came unhooked. Then he switched out one rod, we were both using our two pole endorsements, as he was letting it out he caught a bass. We were in 40 feet of water and he was longlining with 3 splitshots on for weight.
We came home with 3 trout. He caught 2 and I caught 1.
