We motored out of Shilshole about 3:45pm as the tide was coming in. The dock warden said 39 boats, 47 silvers and 43 pinks with almost all caught right off the buoy. We headed out and dropped our lines. Started getting hookup about 4:45 pm and it lasted about 45 minutes with a total of 5 fish caught, three thrown back. We kept two (thought one was a pink until I got a closer look and they were both silvers). Both about 3 lbs. Then the bite went cold for a long time. We motored around and didn't see anything for over 2 hours. We started heading back and about 15 min after sunset, we hooked into a Ginormus (about 16-18 lb) King that we fought for about 10 min. before we landed it (and let it go). Although we couldn't keep it, it was the highlight of the evening and made the whole trip.
Water was super rough when we started, but smoothed out pretty good once the sun went down.
