More Whidbey Island shore fishing adventures!

JoAnn and I drove up to the Anacortes Farmer's Market and enjoyed some great food and craft items, then after lunch headed down to Lagoon Point to check out this fishing location. Pretty nice place to fish, excellent views and less crowded than Bush Point (at least until the tide started coming in).

We fished from 1:30 to 4:30pm into a high 5:45pm tide change. Things looked promising when we arrived ass a guy left with two chrome ocean run clipped coho. Not long after the guy on my left landed and released a nice un-clipped coho. Then it was pretty dead... every once in awhile a coho would jump getting our hopes up, but the action remained slow right up until my shoulder said "no more" and the salad was getting too hard to fish though.

All together probably saw five fish leave the waters which is slow considering twenty anglers pounding away. It was a nice afternoon to fish and we didn't get rained on so that's not bad...

Cast a variety of spinners and solid darting type jigs as far as I could. Varied the retrieval.
