Decided to try the fall bite if there was going to be one. Went down to the dock with my spinning rod on which I had tied a "perch pattern" Flicker Shad. After a few casts I had a big hit on the lure that wasn't getting any deeper than about 5 feet. After a heck of a fight wherein the fish wrapped around multiple weeds, multiple times, I was able to bring this fat boy up to the dock with my "hookgetter" pliers. Excellent battle and the reward was that I turned it right back into the lake. If it weren't for my braided line this fish would have broken off for sure.

That must of been fun on that little reel, a 500 size? Thank you Braid ! ! !

Heck of a blast...The reel is a cheap little Daiwa 500T....use braided because you really can't put much regular mono on it, but it is great if you want to fish light.
