I started my day by going up to the north end of the lake to see if I can find any LMB. I spent 1 hr along the west side in the shallows with no sign of life at all. No nips. No follows. No fingerlings. NADA.

I saw and heard plenty of fish jumping behind me in deeper water though. I couldnt tell what they are but guessing trout. I started creeping away from the bank, reaching inside weedline. The pads and weeds were still nice and green. Again, still nothing. I get to the outside edge and I start seeing some baitfish.

I was thinking of maybe trying out the west side along the pilings but as getting into deeper water, I kept seeing more baitfish and what looked like bigger fish in the mix.

Tried running a swimbait through it. Then went to the dropshot.

Found SMBs in about 25'. The biggest was a 2.49#.

Started moving down the lake and concentrating around this depth.

When all side, caught 6 SMB. Only 2 in the 2# range. Rest were mainly 1#.
