Tough day on Lake Tapps. Started around 8:30 am on the water, ending around 12:00. Two anglers, used a mix of lures and rigs depending on the depth of the water and bottom cover. Lost two Red Eye Shad crank baits within the first hour, along with a drop-shot rig. Very little action, few bites. Weather was nice though, warmed up a bit by noon. Details:
Fish Caught: 1 decent Large Mouth Bass, 1 tiny Yellow Perch.
Lures lost: 2 Red Eye Shad, I drop shot rig.
Lures used successfully: Ned rig caught the Bass, Rapala Shadow Rap for the Perch.
Areas fished: All over the lake, but best action was in 15 - 40ft water.
The weeds were horrible, and mostly dying it seemed, which may have made them harder to deal with. Few other anglers out there too, saw one pull in a decent bass, but didn't notice anyone else having much luck.
