set out from shilshole at 7:40am, zipped up to Edmonds and trolled past the oil docks and richmond beach a few times in 200-300 FOW, first with a cut plug then with an ace hi fly. No takers beyond a shaker or two. Headed out further into the sound where more boats were trolling and trolled in 400-600 until about noon, still nothing. Jetted over to Jeff Head around 12:30 and fished there through a 1:40 high tide and finally packed it in at 3 without landing anything but shakers all day. Didn't see a net fly all day and the two boats I spoke with on returning to Shilshole were also empty handed. I think this might be my last trip for salmon until blackmouth opens up in January, had high hopes for a coho over my season record of 6lbs but I guess it was not to be. Time to switch gears this squidding and crab. Tight lines!
