What an AWESOME day on Lake Roosevelt fishing for Walleye. We fished for the last 2 days around the Hunters area; North and South of the boat landing. We have been fishing on the edge of the sand flatts, jigging deep using green jigs with plastics and a piece of nightcrawler. Gifford has also been pretty good fishing, just South of the island, but the Hunters area has been much better fishing. The Walleye have been at scattered depths of Lake Roosevelt in the morning and then for whatever reason the fish have been going deep in the afternoon. Seems like when the water flattens out and becomes calm the fish go deep feeding on Crawfish and smaller baitfish. Good Luck and Great Fishing Everyone!!!
