Another day on the main river; fished with Glenn and JD in Glenn's Lund. We started off a cold morning at the same areas we did so well on Tuesday. Sunday was a much tougher day, especially for me; I was basically ballast all morning till I caught my first eye at 1130. Glenn and JD weren't lighting up the eyes either but they were successful. I had half a dozen bites but just could not connect. Eventually I contributed 6 eyes to our daily total of about 25. We kept 20 eaters and released another 5; several were dinks but JD released a 9.5 and a 6.4. Everything was caught on a jigs but no particular color worked all that great. I think our main river areas have played themselves out. Same thing happened last winter; as the water level dropped so did our catch rate. It's time to start working our way up the Arm. No pictures so just imagine 20 eyes on the dock at Ft Spokane waiting to be cleaned.

That's a picture that I want to move from imagining to filleting.

Thank you for your report. How many more days do you figure the FT. Spokane will be launchable?

If projections continue per link BullPine posted (same one I use) reservoir will have dropped 7' by Mar 10. IF that average 1/2' drop continues, Ft. Spokane launch would be unusable sometime around Mar 22 or 23.

Thanks. It was good today. Looked to have about 20 feet more concrete ramp underwater. One other boat on the whole river. The wind chased us back up the river.

The NOAA website is definitely a helpful tool for the lake level. It won't be that long and we will all have to launch out of Seven Bays. If it goes down as low as forecasted Seven Bays may be the only launch usable.

Gator - That's where I'm going Sunday. The water was a little stained last weekend but definitely fishable.
