Munden's Rising Son Adventures started our Spring Walleye trips Saturday! The weather was not Spring like at all, with snow, rain, and wind that cut right through the warmest coats! Even with the poor weather, we were able to catch several nice pre-spawn hens that were released and a bag full of fillets came from some nice male eaters. We were targeting water in the 25-30 foot range pulling plugs and jigging for our catch. The eater males and a bit deeper right now than the females. I'd ask everyone for the conservation of our walleye fisheries to release all pre-spawn hens! Anything over 26 inches is typically a hen full of eggs. The only way this fishery will continue is through self-management!
As most of you know, I am also a high school teacher. With the current Corona Virus fiasco, I am now not reporting to school through the end of April! This opens up my schedule to weekdays and allows me to accommodate a lot more anglers! Give me a call today and get in on some great Spring walleye and Spring Chinook fishing! The river is the safest place to be! 509-492-8852
