Got to the launch about 9:30?
First time fishing Bosworth. Of course I’ve wanted to see where the state record LMB came from.
It is hard to believe that a Westside lake, and this one, holds the 12.5 lb record. I just mean when you consider places like Potholes, and all the Eastern, WA. warm water lakes with their abundance of food.
Anyway, back to fishing.
I float tuned the entire lake, 119 acres. My partner ‘Motoboat’ was in his pontoon. We fished docks, Lilly pads, any and all structure. Mostly fishing up in less than 8’ of water. I lost 1 on my 2nd cast. Buddy caught 1 dink. I was throwing 5” Senkos, Texas rigged, spinner baits, drop shotting, crankbaits. Same for buddy. I had 1/2 doz dink taps, and one 8” dink to hand... after 10 hours in float tube. Did get a HELLU sunburn though.
Plenty of anglers on docks, launch was full, limited single car parking, limited road shoulder trailer parking, electric motors, etc.
The water has pretty good clarity, nice docks for bassing, plenty of lillies in medium development May 10th. Underwater logs. Very BASSY, but didn’t deliver. Trout were flying in an out of the lake. All you needed was a butterfly net for trout. (-:
