Met 8-10 other kayak anglers at Lake Samish this morning to chase Kokanee. Samish again did not disappoint!

Fishing started off slightly slower than I expected. It turned out that the fish were much deeper than I would have thought for this time of year, 43 - 50ft down, and in a slightly different area of the lake than I normally fish. Once I found the location and depth, it was lights out for a quick limit morning. Lot's of action. Numerous drive-by's and get off's on top of the 10 I landed.

The Elgin Fishing God's Tooth Spoon in 50/50 kokanee rigged with 12 inches of leader behind a Dick Nite clown pattern dodger was the hot set up for me. Trolled between 1 - 1.2 mph to get my fish. Most of the fish ran about 12 inches, with the largest being just under 14.
