Took my Ascend 10T yak out to Tanwax for my first trip on a yak. It was more difficult than I thought it would be. I paddled/trolled different area's of the lake using wedding rings and power bait with no luck. Switched to an orange & gold needle fish and had my first fish shortly after; unfortunately it spit the hook as I was trying to land it. Paddled some more, got my second hit, lost it as well. Both were medium and small rainbows. I was going to try fly fishing for bass with poppers but didn't feel comfortable standing up just yet. Maybe by the end of summer. All in all a good day, just not a lot of fish biting. Looked like Rainbow RV had all their boats out for rent which is a very good thing for such a great group of people that work there. Always very friendly and helpful!

All of my hook-ups were on the southwest side of the lake, about mid-way up the lake, maybe 150-ish yards from shore.
