Lake Stevens wasn't exactly smokin hot on Tuesday. We managed to put a few in the boat. Lot of boats on the lake and marked a ton of fish but didnt see many fish caught.

I think the low pressure currently over Puget Sound may have something to do with fish in lock jaw mode. Not a Kokanee expert for sure but thats the best excuse I can come up with.

We tried every combo of hoochies, spinners flashers, leader length, depth, speed and everything else but not much booyah.

Better luck next time.

I was out there yesterday also chasing smallies, but did make a couple of passes for kokes with no success. Saw some nice groups from 40 to 50 fow. What depth and time did you catch these? Thanks.

Caught them at 45 ft and it was after most of the crowd had left so 10-12 o'clock appx.

That's funny. That's when I went for a troll. Probably we passed each other.

For those with a serious koke addiction, I would recommend Baker and camping for a couple days to make it worth the expense. There's nearby tent, rv or lodge camping. Nothing like fishing with Mount Baker in the backdrop. Fins up and bobbers down.

I dont know anything about the Kokanee fishing on Baker but the scenery and views of Mt Baker are absolutely amazing.
