Alder Lake 5-24-20
This morning the gate was unlocked only on the exit side. Restrooms were not open. This was about 6:45am. We quit at 10am.
I could say that catching sucked after only seeing 1 bite. Almost losing my camera to the bottom because the fish finder can’t tell me where the bottom is. Then getting out of the boat to go home I face plant on the dock. But that would be misleading.
We were there yesterday and the catching wasn’t as great as the time before but today it wasn’t as good as yesterday. My son caught 2 trout, he let go, and 1 kokanee I told him to keep. There were so many logs it was hard to move outside the launch area. I don’t know how they got there. It was a lot! Pool was 1202.39 and I looked up the river flow for the Nisqually River but nothing indicates why the logs had moved down.
The weather report said that it was going to be mostly cloudy. It was mostly sunny. Water temp was 59 degrees. My bite was about 12 foot down on the downrigger wire. My son caught all his longlining. The kokanee came on just the weight of the dodger and lure. Got a crappie follow…
