Great day on the water today. The only thing holding me back from a full 5 star rating was the size of the Kokanee. Let a third of them go due to small size. Few in the six inch range. The “bigger” fish were in the 8, maybe 9 inch range. Weather was great and not crowded at all. Limited out in a couple hours for two people. Released fish counted toward our limit.
Now for the nuts and bolts. Gear down at 6am. Trolled at 1.3 mph on the south side of the lake and made my way north. Winning set up was gold arrow flash dodger with God’s Tooth 50/50 blue. Corn soaked in tuna juice. Did get action on my usual go-to setup with Mack’s pink hoochie and a nickel and brass dodger. Water temp 58 degrees Fahrenheit. Fish were caught at 7 - 15 ft. Did catch the odd ball at 50ft after seeing meter marks and wondering what they were. Set backs at 55 pulls which is probably in the vicinity of 80ft (never got around to measuring my pulls).
Will be back. My smoker loves these things.
