Well, we decided it was time to fish for the kokanee at Lake Steven's. In addition, we wanted to play with Mini Mavic done with some different camera angels. I got to admit, Stevens was way fun. Just stuck to trying out the Soldier Soul lures (Shrimp) it was the ticket. It was nice not having much boat action on the lake which is always a bonus.
We used downriggers at 40' and 50' deep.
With setbacks off the downrigger clips 40' to 50' feet out, seemed to be proper distance for the kokanee.
We used Soldier Soul Lures. (Tequila shrimp, Orange shrimp, and Purple shrimp.) As shown in the picture.
My own recipe of Orange corn.
Fish most caught on the South side of the lake.
Not bad day for getting 16 kokanees, before the wind and rainstorm hit.
The smallest size was 14" and the biggest was 17". Which was a hard hit bite and a totally fun fight.
My son had fun and we had more than enough to smoke up kokanees for today. Tight Lines!
