We stayed at MarDon and fished Potholes for a week from 5/27/20 to 6/03/20. Fishing was tough to say the least. It's bad enough right now that some guides are cancelling trips. We averaged about 4 Walleye per day (for 2 of us) which is far below our usual experience for this time of year. We fished several methods, multiple depths and locations throughout the reservoir and were finally able to focus in on a method that was somewhat productive (4 per day). We found our Walleye up in the weeds assuming that they are feeding there after the spawn. Trolling #4 and #5 Flicker Shad just off the edge and into the deeper weeds was somewhat productive. The highlight of the trip was my lady's 2 lb 9 oz Crappie, released to continue the Crappie production. No pictures this year as the walleye count was pretty dismal compared to past years.

Wow! Thats a surprise. Thinking about heading over next week but maybe will hold off. Any word on big Rainbows off Medicare beach?

We did catch one smallish trout (about 14") up Lind Coulee by the bridge but we weren't targeting them and generally weren't fishing the trout waters. The one report on trout I did get from what I consider a very good source said they were getting trout off the State Park!

Yup ara263, we were there a couple days last week too - samo, samo. You didn't mention the pesky bugs when the wind
dropped down nor the bassers pre-fishing - didn't appreciate them seeing how close they could get going flat out. I'll
probably wait until fall to go there again - there were more folks fishing than usual, but everybody very considerate - didn't
see many other nets out either.

Huh, we didn't experience the bug problem but we may have stopped for the day by the time they came out. The Baas Tourney was nuts. I counted 121 boats out for the tourney. We fished a couple of the Seep lakes during the tourney so didn't have to deal with them and were a bit more protected from the winds/thunderstorms.
