Late report but this was the Saturday of the lightning storm that arrived earlier than I expected (8:30AM).
Lines were in by 5:10am and rigged up with my current favorite lure: God's Tooth 50/50 Blue. As usual, at least one of my rods will have a Dick Nite Clown dodger to start the morning and neither of them disappointed. Started one rod at 25' and the other at 35'. 35' started to bounce and while it wasn't super hot, it was very consistent the entire morning with a few chances at doubles! 3 fish by 5:36; 6 fish by 6AM and recorded my limit and was out with 9 keepers before 7AM. Most were between 25-40ft and one off the surface. My personal fastest limit and my wife was happy that I was able to head home much earlier than normal for me!
I was also able to try out a new to me camera and shoot some video of a great morning on the water!
In case you're like me and have ever looked up to see a rod tip bouncing all over and wondered...."hmmm how long has that fish been there..." you might enjoy my experience in this video :)
Great Morning and hope to be back out this weekend!
