Set out from Golden Gardens around 3:30PM and was fishing the area off Jeff Head by 4. I was with my wife and daughter so we ran two rods, one with a "no bananas" flasher paired with a cop car coho killer and one with a "purple haze" flasher paired with an ace hi fly and herring strip. Fished between 45 and 70 feet on the wire, generally targeting 65 or so. Trolled from just south of Jeff Head up past President Point before turning around right in front of Kingston and trolling back South.... was in between 80 and 125 FOW on the troll north and went a little deeper (125 to 250 FOW) on the troll back south. Got nothing to show for about 2.5 hours of fishing, a few boats out in the vicinity as well (maybe 6 or 7) but didn't see a single net fly from them either. Back at Golden Gardens around 7.
So, skunked on the first outing of the year but the weather was great and it was nice to be out so cannot complain too much. Will probably be out again on Friday if the weather holds up. Tight lines all!

Indeed, have the whaler pretty well dialed in but still making some tweaks... improving the kicker steering and installing some trim tabs to address a lean that appears when on plane are high on the list.
Area 9 crab opener tomorrow, still on the fence about hitting the water for the area 10 opener Sunday to target some Boeing creek dungies since I expect the ramps will be a zoo. Tight lines!!
