Dragged my teenager out of bed early for a quick Kokanee rip on the big lake. It was pretty windy this morning, but we did manage to put 5 nice Kokanee and a bonus Cutthroat in the boat before calling it a morning and heading in. Fish came on my standard set-up of BCMP & wiggle hootchies tipped with corn and Berkley maggots behind a Brad's dodger. We fished the shelf just north of I90 in 65' - 120' of water with 40' - 50' of wire out. Trolling speed was 1.2 - 1.4.

Do you ever launch out of Coulon & fish lower Mercer Island. Thinking of going Monday the 6th. First kok trip in 2 years.

I have not fished the south end of Mercer Island. I typically stay more to the north end of the island. However, I'm sure there are Kokanee near the south end.

@ Coyote9king- I launch primarily at Coulon and yes they are everywhere right now- it's just finding the ones that want to bite and what they want that day! Good bet is to head out of the launch straight over to the south tip and once you are in over 70 FOW start fishing! Zig zag toward the island and I fish mainly on the west side~ Good luck!
