We got to the parking lot close to 8am and it was almost full. Lots of activity on the lake. With a few people fishing. It was already quite warm. Campground was full.

The water temperature was 69 when we got there but 71 when we quit fishing at 11:30am. It took 45 minutes to get loaded and out of the parking lot. Trucks and trailers were actually parked by the bank single parking spaces. The predicted high was supposed to be 89 degrees. The lake level was 1204.24 feet which made the launch accessible to lots of BIG vessels as well as some small fast ones. See video.

Even though we chased marks from the fish finder down to 35 feet on the downrigger, mine came at 20 feet. We both used different lures, dodgers, and bait to start with but narrowed it down to one rod each, Hypnosis dodger, Patriot lure, and unscented corn and green maggots. We found the fish at the edge of all the boat traffic. Which did make it, at times, difficult to tell if there were bites. Ol’ Girl rocked sideways at 45 degree angle a few times.
Even though I only brought 2 kokanee into the boat we both did have bites and lost fish. On the video it shows they were there but…

Both fish had the adipose fin clipped. The big one was 13 inches.
