I pulled up to the resort at Mineral at 8am on the dot and decided to try some dock fishing. I spent about 2 hours working the three docks at the resort and there was no one else out. The amount of lake weeds I hooked into was prohibitive to continue, so I upgraded to a row boat and headed north to my favorite spot on the lake. I cast out a colorful mix of lemon lime power eggs & yellow power bait dipped in trout feast smelly jelly. Within 10 min. I had a very nice rainbow on the line, I landed him and rigged up with the same combo. Again within a matter of 4 casts I had landed 4 trout. I tried to hook into my 5th fish of the day but he stole my bait twice and I was getting burned in the sun so I called it a day.
2 of the fish I landed were in the 14" to 15" range, not bad for a short day of fishing.
