We (wife, 7 year old and I) headed out of Shilshole around 4:30AM and had lines in the water off Kingston around 5. Fished the incoming tide trolling to South end of Jeff head, then hit the jets and made the same troll again. I picked up a resident coho with a bleeding chunk taken out of it (dogfish I guess?) around 7, then it was my daughter's turn to reel in whatever hit us next. Fast forward to 8:10 (heading toward 8:43 high tide) and she had a fish on. Some badass reeling later and we had a nice 29 inch hatchery blackmouth in the boat and a very satisfied kid. The blackmouth was in 160 FOW with 150 on the wire, gibbs no bananas flasher with a standard hootchie rig.

Fished until 10 and had one more solid takedown but it came off. Got to see the USS Carl Vinson heading out of the Sound. Good day for all!
