Two things I want to say about this day. First - the fishing. We headed out to the near ridge off Shilshole and the hot spot was the bottle-neck between the two ridges. We caught zero silvers which I thought was weird, but we couldn't keep the kings off our lines. Unfortunately, they were all small under 22" but great fighters. We did land one decent king, probably around 8-10 lbs, but the fin was questionable - it could have been a mis-clip, but didn't want to risk it so we let it go as well. GREAT day fishing, but nothing to take home.

The second thing: A**HOLE ALERT - I came back to my pathfinder (parked on the street) and the passenger side window was busted out and my fanny pack was taken off the front seat. The only thing in it was dog treats and dog poop bags, but this is a warning to let you know some scumbags are living in the bushes just above the Eddie Vine boat ramp and scour the cars looking for easy pickings. The cops/city won't do anything about the homeless camps or make arrests because of Covid-19, so it's pretty much a free pass to steal for the creeps. Don't leave anything in visible sight.
Watch out for each other as well - if you're coming in and see something suspicious, call the cops. They've already been alerted to the problem but doubt they'll put people on the watch.

Hi Seattle Pat,

Sorry to hear about the break-in, that sucks. I've never had that happen to me at Shilshole but have certainly seen broken window glass on the ground there.

The area where you were fishing was "near ridge off Shilshole and the hot spot was the bottle-neck between the two ridges." I'm not sure where you mean even after looking on my chart, are you talking about the gap up at Carkeek? Hook us up :-)

Look at my Hot Spot. We use a Lowrance and it has a topo map when you're using the chart mode. Fished again today (Friday) and got 2 nice hatchery. One pretty big...prob 8-10lbs.
