Man, I don’t know why I like coming to this lake much. It certainly is not due to the fishing.
Presently the launch is good, the lake is low, but not super low. I’ve been there when I got the boat stuck in upper lake area.
We launched about 10:15 AM.
Immediately tried to go as far up lake as possible. It’s a beautiful place to explore, and witness remote wilderness.
If you have never been here, the place has more underwater full size trees than anything you could imagine. It would be flat out dangerous to boat by yourself. We dropped down smiley blade spinners, with dodgers, on DR. Fished all depths 20-120’. Hooked up with tree tops in 100+ ft of water.
No balls lost, no gear lost.
Had one 5-6” fish hit a plug, 3’ from shore, otherwise never had a single interaction with any fish from 10:15 AM - 6:00 PM.
You will want to fish below 50’, but it’s just to risky with all the full size underwater trees.
I think it will be along time before I come back.
FYI... signage at launch says they are building a new launch with trailer parking, and some kind of park, etc.
