Another fine day on Potholes. We trolled up 20+ eyes and kept 15 (apparently we can't count). We also caught some more stud bluegills, a few bullheads and a few nice largemouth. My buddy hooked one about 5 lbs. or so on a crappie jig and brought it up to the boat; right about then I said that will be a nice picture taker and off course it got off. Jinxed!

How's the water level now? Dropping yet? How crowded was it on the water for other boats?

Looks like a good day on the water. Does this mean they are hard to find at Roosevelt right now.

The fish cleaning station is over at the state park, not the DFW launch. We were surprised it was open but took full advantage of it. The water level is almost bottomed out on Potholes; this actually makes fishing easier. The fall bite should be on anytime now with the cold night we've been having.

Hello Mark
My son and I are heading over To Potholes this weekend. I haven’t fished Potholes in a few years and we’re looking for some starting points, likely stay at Marion. Previously I generally trolled dunes in and around Winchester; we are just after some walleyes or panfish and do not need any secrets. Trying to show him some freshwater fishing as we generally fish salmon in the sound/straits.
Thank you,
Eric
