Fished from Porc. and upstream 5 miles from 8 ish to 3:30. Was a nice overcast day which is always my preference for Roosey as the trout and kokes seems more aggressive and school more when there's less sunlight. Slow trolled and casted soft plastic hoochie type baits in orange and reddish colors. Fished the first 20 fow and up. Debarbed to safely release all fish with the exception of those I kept. I was targeting kokes but could not find them through the overwheling abundance of bows. Trolled one rod and casted the other. Finished the day keeping 4 bows and releasing 47. Avg. size was around 17. All were plants with the exception of 4 natives. Two largest fish were right at 22". Was a really pleasant overcast glassy day on the water. My favorite conditions for Roosey=) Ran out of battery on my phone so no pics this trip...

Me too Conrad. Have been fishing Roosey since I was a kid. I feel the tribes have really provided us a lot of fish to angle for. Somedays are a lot more difficult than others. As I mentioned, cloudy calm days in my experience are far more fruitful than sunny. Just wish there were more kokes around season long but the pursuit always leads to new discoveries/techniques.
Tight lines out there!

Glad you had a great day out there, I really enjoy the area around Porcupine. This is the first I have heard of Kokanee up there so maybe in the future I will put more effort into them.
