After reading a good report about Hunters on NWFR, I decided to give it a try. Good choice! We left home in the dark, stars shining and red on the horizon. Then it turned to fog, not bad and only in places. We were headed to Hunters, an hour and a half from the house, on Lake Roosevelt, to fish. On the way we spotted two bald eagles, plenty of deer and turkeys. The fishing wasn't bad either! Had the first one in the cooler 20 minutes after wetting a line, a nice 17 inch 'bow. The fish continued to bite and I caught my limit of five in 2 hours and 20 minutes. Another fun productive day! A friend, Jeff, went there with his fishing buddy the next day. His partner caught 5 fish that, together weighed 13 pounds. I hope he left some big ones for me!
