Well, once again it seems I went where the fish weren't. Got on the water at Spring Canyon around 8:30, only one other rig in the parking lot. Picked up 2 rainbow down towards the dam, not close to each other. Only marked 2 fish while we were down there so we went on up and gave the Basin a try, again marked no fish so then we went up by the Goat Farm and picked up another fish there but really never saw any activity on the fish finder the entire day. I have had days in these areas this time of year with lots of activity in the past but not yesterday. Seems like I did better this time of year when they drew the level down. I think that was the highest level I have ever launched at Spring Canyon. The Fish Counter lady said she had counted 1 Kokanee out of 6 boats and we were the last ones to leave. Think I will look up river next time. And there will be a next time. Hate to give a day with decent weather and good roads a 2 , the "really had to work at it" part seems a bit extreme. Work at it, I don't think so.

Never Give An Inch-So they say. You will find em if ya keep at it. I'm headed to Rife this morning. Who knows. We might get lucky.

Water level is unusually high this year, don't know why either. Seem to recall in past years by now it would be 1260' - 1270', as of 5am this morning, it's 1286.64', roughly 3.5' below full pool. Here's where I get my water level info from, copy/paste entire text -

The good news is starting today, level is projected to drop through the 16th so maybe that will help catching. Hope so, we'll be there getting after them on the 17th.
