Launched out of Ft Spokane with Jay and hit some main lake humps with rock piles. First fish caught was a smallies on a jigging rap in about 48 FOW. Moved around a little until we found a hump that showed a school of fish on the depth finder. That school turned out to be burbot; Jay caught one and I caught two. All were released but Jay's stayed on the surface a little too long and became a nice snack for a Bald Eagle. The wind picked up pretty good out of the north so we headed to Casino Flats. We picked up 5 eaters; the fish were very scattered so we were doing a lot of fan casting. These guys were up on the hump in about 32-35 FOW. There were a bunch of bass boats on it when we arrived but I didn't see any of those guys catch anything. We found one more spot that was holding fish. They were all smalleyes (6-8 inches) but it was an entertaining way to end the day. All told we caught 12 or so eyes and cleaned the five eaters. Jigs with 3-5 inch perch/green pumpkin swimbaits worked best.

Glad to see you got out on the water! With duck season finished up I'm hoping to take a trip up to priest if the ice stays off the bays this weekend or next to go after lakers and then I'll be headed over your way to chase some walleyes!
best of luck,
Dan

Good you hit it before it got real cold. We cancelled our planned weekend outing opting instead to stay warm and not fuss with icing issues (ramp, marina, and guides).
