4/5/2021 11:02:37 AMGlad to see you laced them! I remember catching what I thought was a big male last year at 25inches, that thing is a monster on all accounts. The little one should be arriving sometime this week so hopefully I can get out in 2-3 weeks and catch a few stragglers that have yet to spawn.

4/5/2021 2:06:01 PMBeautiful fish. It would have been interesting to take a scale sample and age that fish. Wonder if the WDFW would age a fish if approached by the sportsman angler? If I ever see a game dept Bio I'll try to remember to ask.
At one time the WDFW? was doing a net survey of Roosevelt in the fall? and published a report on the age, size distribution of the netted fish. Haven't heard of that in many years. Anyone know if they currently do that?

I know what you mean about the oddity of such a monsterous male. Caught a couple of those on the arm at Mocc. a few years back. Had they not been shooting their baby batter, I would have never expected they were dudes and not gals.
