I was really excited to head to Eastern Washington and fish Banks lake for some walleye. We arrived just after sunrise to a perfectly calm lake. I decided to head off toward the westside of steamboat rock for some bottom bouncing action. The water was cold and we decided to start in about 45 feet of water. In the first 1.5 hours we managed to hook a few yellow perch but no walleye. Next thing we know a light switch was flipped and 17+ mph winds arrived at Banks and white caps soon followed. The fishing day was cut short but we were fortunate to at least have the enjoyment of reeling a few fish in! Tight lines.
