Fished the same water as I have the last few reports. Despite the water being down a little more, the trout were very reluctant this trip and I got but a fraction of my usual numbers. The kokanee bite was also down but the quality didn't disappoint. Found a few fish and was fortunate to get a limit before 8:30 which included a nice one which pre-iced measured 23.25" and weighed 4 1/2 pounds. Had to release another which was right at 22".
Wish I had taken the pictures before I had the fish compressed on ice which made them look dented.
They were all very healthy robust fish and made big runs. They did take a lot of finessing to get to bite; the high sun and dead calm glassy water continue to make it a challenge. Fish were high in the water again early and moved down a few hours into the morning.
