Judging by Mondays results Lake Samm may be coming back to life! Water has warmed up considerably. TWT about 60 degrees as compared to high 40's a couple weeks ago. My buddy came all the way over from Spokane area to chase these rascals and as stinky as Sammamish has been lately I was a little apprehensive. No pressure deal right?
We got a late start, didnt get on the water until about 10 oclock. Took a while to find the fish but once we did it was game on. Off the water about 2:30. Ten nice fish to the net, kept five, c&r the rest. Fish look a little bigger in the pic than they actually were, ranged in size from 14-18 inches. Nice fish!!
Nothing in the Issq end of the lake all the way up and around the weather buoy area. Went around the corner and bingo there they were. Thats where they were on Monday, today or tomorrow who knows, they move around. Just gotta go find them.
Nothing fancy for gear. Basic 5.5 inch Sling Blade, wedding ring type spinners tipped with worm chunk,14-15 inch leader, 100-125 back, 1.75-2.0 mph. down between 10 and 20 feet.
Tight lines.
