Went out for some more trout action at American. I spent the first half of the trip looking for Kokanee and chasing arches on the fish finder. Started going a bit deeper using the downrigger and seeing if I could tempt some of what I figured might be kokanee. Instead I caught trout deep! One at 30' and another at 37'. Kokanee are not exactly known for a good noon bite, so I guess I will have to get up with the sun if I am serious about getting some on American. I did get some nice trout though. Biggest was 16inches other 3 were in the 13.5-14 inch range. Filletts will in the brine for some great smoked fish! I used Shoepeg corn and NTO™Scent Spinner 2.0 with pink and blue being the ones they wanted today. Also used a Dick Nite clown UV flasher and an Arrowflash Lemon lime and the bait was Shoepeg corn. Get out and enjoy some of the great fishing before the water ski boats take over!
