We started at 7:30 and finished at 10:30am. It was chilly but sunny out. The water temperature was 59 degrees.
Bites were furious at first then slowed down after 9am. There were several schools. Most of the time when going through them we pulled a trout out. We had several doubles. In fact, the first fish on the video got away because I was unhooking one on my other rod. I had hoped to see the schools in full but I lost the camera on the lower rod which would have had them on it.
I caught fish 17-35 feet on downrigger in 30-75 feet of water. Green was the best lure color but the orange produced some bites. For bait corn and worms were working. Because I stink to fish, I used some scent. Our speed was 1.1 to 1.4mph. We stayed to the north and west end of the lake.
A little racing boat buzzed around the lake just as we were leaving. They had to lay down to run it. I included a bit on the video.
