My brother-in-law and I took a couple of his friends out to catch some kokes. He told me they weren’t the fishing type but wanted to try it and have fun. Wow did we have fun! Launched at Old Mill Park at 5am and started fishing down lake by Chelan. Immediately started catching fish around 20-30’. We ended up catching 22 in a short time but then the bite shut off. We moved up lake around Manson Bay and didn’t mark much but tried anyway. Limited the boat in under an hour. Totally unexpected but extremely happy to put fish in our coolers. Wind eventually picked up and that was our cue to head in and cook some fish for these guys. They absolutely loved the fish and want to come back and do it again someday.
These fish weren’t as big as our last trip but still quality meat. Probably averaged 12-13” fish. Standard setups of Old Goats and Kokabow lures did the trick again!! Used natural and pink colored corn on all our setups. Hoping to pull off 1 more trip for these awesome eating fish.
