We camped in Winthrop, WA July 3-9 and brought the inflatable boats to do some fishing. July 5, 7 & 8, we visited Patterson Lake and were not disappointed!
Mostly trolling and some still fishing, our group caught a variety of species at all depths of the lake.
For going deep, my friend trolled a bottom bouncer weight with a wedding ring and powerbait. My son and I used a 2oz cannon ball, 4/0 dodge and either a wedding ring or Elgin God's Tooth spoon. Both rigged with either a night crawler or Pautzke pink fire corn worked great.
For top fishing, trolling a 4/0 chrome dodger and wedding ring or God's Tooth worked well.
Still fishing in shallow areas, I was casting a God's Tooth silver shiner and the perch and crappie were hitting on that. That is by far my favorite lure.
Over the three days, the weather was across the board sunny, overcast, still, windy, rain, etc.
No matter what, we had a ton of fun trying out all different tackle with success.
Species caught: Rainbow trout, perch, crappie, kokanee & a bass.
Also, a free plug for the LUCKY Portable Fish Finder. I had the transducer mounted on my trolling motor and the unit worked awesome. For $40, it was well worth knowing how deep the water was and approximately what depth the fish were at. It's not fancy but a good value. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07P3GV5HG?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details\
