Just one of those days…

Fished outside of golden gardens in 115-250 ft of water. First king was on within 10min of putting lines down at 6am. Turned out to be a 24 inch hatchery king. 10 minutes later had another nice king on, lost it at the boat. Immediately ran through a school of pinks, got two nice ones and decided to keep them for smoking. Hooked into ANOTHER gorgeous king, but it was a wild. Estimate it to be in the 15lb range, this one spooled me for a good while… At 7:30 my wife and I doubled up with our fourth king of the day and a decent coho. Snagged one last pink at around 8am and had limits for 3 people.

Was hoping to get into some more coho, but hey can’t complain! We were also marking big schools of salmon all over the place and some huge bait balls.
