Area 2 Westport, WA Float 20
With the third day in the 90’s/100’s and my first day of mini vacation, I wanted to go somewhere cooler. Therefore, I picked Westport to crab. It was going to be 30 degrees cooler.
My son, Adam, Jake, and grandson William were going to go too. They had never been to Westport before. Jake had never been crabbing before. He later told me it wasn’t as boring as he thought it was going to be.
There were lots of people, lots of cars, and lots of small crabs. It was the Tuna Classic, I think.
We would have had a keeper dungy if it had been hard shelled. But we kept 2 red rocks.
Tides Low 10:37 AM 0.2 feet High 5:18 PM 8.8 feet. We were there from about 12-4pm.
We finished by having dinner at Bennet’s Fish Shack.
The 2 pictures of my grandson holding the little crab was the only one he picked up. He had been offered $20 to pick one up. On our last pull before leaving he did. So that little crab got him $20.
