Took Jay with me to the Arm. We launched at first light and headed upriver to a deep hole that has been producing lately. It took about 30 minutes to locate some eyes. I started out with a blade bait and Jay with a jig. We both struck out. We switched to jigging raps and between 0700 and 0900 we caught about 25 eyes. I had a head start but Jay's first eye was the biggest fish of the day at 21.5 inches. We ended up only catching 4 between 16 and 21.5 inches that were worth cleaning. Glenn and Mike were also out trolling main lake points in porcupine bay. Trolling was very slow for them and most of their eyes came out of 55 fow
The rising of Roosevelt seems to have affected the bite. Not many more 80 degree days left this year.

Nice to see you got out on the water, hoping to do the same soon. I agree with your assessment in rising water conditions, matches my own experience as well. You had good weather and caught some fish sounds like a good day. :-)

Hewes, it was actually a great day to be on the water. Sunny, no wind and we caught fish. There are also some trees that got reflected with the rising water so boaters beware. I hope to be out this weekend as well.

Well you did way better than me but you usually do. Good report, thanks.
