Not sure what I am doing that seems to be driving the fish away but I sure seem to be good at it. Took the travel trailer and the boat down to Fort Spokane from the 21st to the 30th. As a camping trip it was a 5, as a fishing trip it was a 2. We caught Rainbow and Walleye both just not much or either. Hadn't caught many Small Mouth this year until this trip and now it seems hard to avoid them. Bottom bouncing they were truly annoying and I even got some trolling for RB. The wife caught a 4 pounder which was the most interesting fish of the trip, she was pretty thrilled. That says it all about how the fishing was. Had friends from Helena come over and fish with us a couple of days and other friends from Spokane came down for a day so all in all it was a good trip to a great location that just happens to be close by. I think it is hard to appreciate Roosevelt enough.
