Went out with Jay and Austin on Jay's Thunderjet. We launched at first light from Porcupine and again headed up river. It was pretty much just like the weekend before. We caught 25 or so eyes mostly on jigging raps. We only kept 4 nice eaters. Some of the eyes coughed up 4 inch perch that they must have just eaten. I put one of these dead perch on a jig and proceeded to catch my first burbot of the fall. I caught 3 total doing this. Once I felt a burbot grab my jig, I would wait about 30 seconds and then set the hook. We also tried trolling smile blades in Porcupine Bay but never had a hit.
