My son and I started fishing about 9:30am. Straight north from the WDFW boat launch in 59 feet of water. We just used the fish finder and when it looked like fish we stopped. My son got his line in first and had a fish right away. We were all alone, catching. Then others started stopping by to catch. Glen and Cami came by for a while.
We moved a few times when they disappeared. Looking for the fish on the bottom of the lake in 58-60 feet of water. One time my son wanted to stop but I didn’t and he said “bet you I can pull a fish out of here in 5 minutes or I will clean all the fish.” I said “OK! You are on." About 3 minutes later he has one but it comes off. Then a minute later he has it again but it comes off. He didn’t get one on in five minutes. But I caught it. So, he cleaned the fish and I made fish tacos.
As time went on it seemed that when we found the fish they moved and catching wasn’t as good. We left about 1pm.
We caught probably 30 some. Coming home with 25.

I know lots of people that love perch. Got any recipes? My attempts have left me somewhat disappointed.

I use it dipped in seasoned flour, fried in olive oil. Then put in a flour tortilla with coleslaw cabbage mix, coleslaw dressing, shredded cheese, diced tomatoes=fish tacos.
Or I dip in seasoned flour, then dip in egg, then panko bread crumbs. Fry in olive oil=fish sticks
