Launched at Porcupine and was fishing by 8 am. Found a school right off the bat and my second rod went off within the first minute of putting out. Got a limits worth within the first 15 minutes and had a nice start landing around 10 fish in the first hour. Caught a handfull more before mosying some miles up river and getting constant solid action for the next 3 hours. Finished by 2:30 ish with 48 rbt. I Didn't feel like cleaning fish this day unless I caught a kokanee which didn't happen so I just focused on technique and safe catch and releases. The water was down a bit since my last trip and it was a really heavy overcast day which kept the fish active and made for nice conditions. There are good numbers of hungry trout on the Spokane again this year making it a good choice for getting action. If one just trolls the upper 20 feet of water with a good trout bait such as a wedding ring you can't go wrong. Nothing all that big today or very interesting so I didn't take any pictures. I did catch more natives per capita than I did last year at this time on the Spokane which I like to see. (around 20% of todays catch)
I may be testing some new water next week way up North on the Columbia.
I'll provide another report if I should get that way.
Tight lines Yal...
